How to Clean and Maintain Stainless Steel Welded Mesh Properly

While stainless steel is highly corrosion resistant, proper maintenance significantly extends its service life. For routine cleaning, rinse the mesh with clean water to remove loose dirt and contaminants. Wash with a soft cloth or nylon brush using a mild soap and water solution or a 5% ammonia mixture. For stubborn stains, a soft nylon brush can be used, followed by a thorough rinse with clean cold water. Always allow the mesh to dry completely. Avoid using steel wool or ordinary steel brushes, as this can embed particles of plain steel into the mesh surface, leading to rust stains. Never use cleaners containing chlorides, strong acids, or strong alkalis. Regular maintenance is especially important in coastal and industrial environments where corrosion risks are higher.
